The objective of teaching this discipline is to provide students of the Academic Singing Department with comprehensive knowledge of the vocal apparatus, the mechanisms and capabilities of sound production, the rules of breathing, diction, articulation, and orthoepy, musical ornaments (melismas), as well as the fundamentals of vocal technique, along with their study and mastery. To fully realize the composer’s intent and achieve an artistic interpretation of characters, mastering performance technique and stage presence is of paramount importance. In the process of mastering this discipline, future specialists acquire the knowledge and skills of teaching methodology in academic singing.

Over the course of 2 years, you will acquire theoretical and practical skills in the field of "Instrumental Performance (Folk Instruments)."

Within the framework of this educational program, you are required to earn a total of 120 credits over 4 semesters (2 years). This includes:

• Total classroom (contact) hours: 1,800 hours

• Research practice: 480 hours

• Scientific and pedagogical work: 240 hours

• Master's thesis preparation: 1,080 hours

• 1 credit equals 30 academic hours.

• When drawing up a working curriculum based on the baseline curriculum, it is permissible to alter the volume of a block of academic disciplines by up to 5%, and the volume of disciplines within blocks by up to 10%, provided that the weekly workload of students is maintained. It is also permitted to freely establish the volume of the weekly workload in individual semesters while maintaining the total volume of classroom hours.

• The timeframe allocated for the completion of the Master's thesis also includes the time required for its defense.

• Practical classes for the major disciplines included in the curriculum are conducted, when necessary, at the higher education institution as well as at base organizations and enterprises.

• To ensure the integration of theory and practice, 240 hours are allocated to scientific and practical activities (research practice) in the 2nd semester and 240 hours in the 4th semester.

• The higher education institution takes into account the requirements of employers (personnel clients) when developing curriculum programs for specific majors.

• Based on the specific nature of higher education institutions in the field of arts, classes for individual disciplines are scheduled as follows: individual instruction (1–10 students), small groups (2 to 12 students), groups (13 to 25 students), and combined academic groups (up to 100 students).

• A total of 50 hours is allocated for the supervision of the Master's thesis preparation (which includes the performance program—sheet music of the pieces and their brief written textual description) during the 5 weeks specified in the educational process schedule.

• Accompaniment (co-repetition) hours for classes are distributed as follows: for the disciplines "Academic Singing" and "Chamber Ensemble (or Vocal Ensemble)" (in cases where an accompanist is required), accompaniment hours are allocated at 100% of the total time specified in the curriculum; for the "Opera Class" (or opera preparation classes), they are allocated at 200%.
