Registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan

Foreign citizens and stateless persons may be temporarily or permanently in Uzbekistan.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons are temporarily registered through the Migration and Naturalization Departments of the internal affairs bodies (hereinafter - MvaFRB ), accommodation facilities or treatment facilities. Temporarily registered foreign citizens and stateless persons are issued a personal identification number of an individual by the territorial MvaFRB, where the individual is registered, based on their written applications.

Temporary registered foreign citizens and stateless persons must live in their registered places.

The term of temporary registration is counted from 00:01 hours of the day following the date of entry of a foreign citizen and stateless person through the State border control point of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Temporary registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons is carried out in the following forms

by the administration of accommodation facilities and treatment facilities at the time of their arrival, regardless of the duration of their stay, using the " E-guest " program;
by natural persons who invite (accept) foreign citizens and stateless persons and provide them with accommodation:

if the period of stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons does not exceed 30 days , at the time of their arrival using the " E-guest " program or by applying to the regional MvaFRB within three working days ;
if the period of stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons exceeds 30 days , by applying to the regional MvaFRB within three working days ;

Foreign citizens and stateless persons who are traveling independently, living in tented camps and land transport converted into accommodation for the night, within 3 working days after their arrival , by applying to tourist information centers or nearby accommodation facilities " E-guest" through the program.

The following are exempt from temporary registration

heads of state and government of foreign countries , parliament and members of government delegations , technical staff of these delegations, family members of the listed persons ;
Persons who came to the Republic of Uzbekistan on documents issued by the United Nations (red and blue Laissez-Passer passport);
Foreign citizens and stateless persons accredited in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the procedure established by legislation;
Foreign citizens and stateless persons under the age of 16 ;
Foreign citizens and stateless persons who come to the Republic of Uzbekistan on holidays and weekends or on regular days for a period of up to three working days and leave the Republic during these days;
traveling foreign citizens and stateless persons, if their stay in each specific settlement of the republic does not exceed three days , they have one of the documents confirming their stay (documents confirming the use of services, purchase of goods, photo or video images) when Continuous registration in one settlement is not required;
and other persons .

Persons who come from other countries and have the right to permanent residence are categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons.

In order to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have come to the region from other countries apply to the migration and citizenship registration department of the district (city) internal affairs departments in the places where they have passed temporary registration with the following documents .
