Student Visa Application Procedure

19. STD. Student Entry Visa (for temporary studies under inter-university exchange programs)

The STD Student Entry Visa is issued for a period of up to one year to foreign students undertaking short-term studies at higher education institutions located in the Republic of Uzbekistan under inter-university exchange programs or within the framework of cooperation agreements between higher education institutions. The visa is issued upon the request of educational institutions, ministries, agencies, and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan that have educational institutions under their jurisdiction.

20. A-1. Student Entry Visa (for full-time studies)

The A-1 Student Entry Visa is issued for a period of up to one year to foreign students enrolled in educational institutions located in the Republic of Uzbekistan on a permanent basis for the duration of their studies. The visa is issued upon the request of educational institutions, ministries, agencies, and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan that have educational institutions under their jurisdiction.
