HISTORY OF THE FACULTY OF EXACT AND APPLIED SCIENCES

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 21, 2022 No. PQ-289 “On measures to improve the quality of pedagogical education and further develop the activities of higher educational institutions training pedagogical personnel”, the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute was established on the basis of the bachelor's and master's degrees in the pedagogical education field of Urgench State University. Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the Faculty of Exact and Applied Sciences was established within the institute.

It is the structural unit of the faculty-institute. Its activities are aimed at training students in relevant educational areas, conducting educational and educational processes in an integrated and coordinated manner, as well as coordinating the implementation of scientific research projects in the departments. The faculty structure includes the Faculty Council and the Academic and Methodological Council. The faculty is engaged in educational activities in the implementation of basic and additional educational programs of higher education. The faculty has its own seal and other requisites.

FACULTY LEARNING PROCESS

The faculty has 43 professors and teachers, including 5 candidates of sciences and associate professors, 9 senior teachers and 29 assistant teachers. There are a total of 1832 students at the faculty, of which; 551 are studying full-time, 1219 are studying part-time, 62 are studying evening, and 47 are studying in secondary higher education. The faculty trains specialists in 2 bachelor's and 3 master's degrees.

RESULTS ACHIEVED ON THE BASIS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND SCIENTIFIC RELATIONS WITH FOREIGN COUNTRIES

To date, the faculty has established scientific and practical cooperation with foreign universities, and the faculty's professors and teachers participate in various projects. The faculty has established international relations with prestigious universities in China, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey and other countries.

The Faculty of Primary Education is one of the largest and most basic structures of the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute. The main mission of the faculty is to train highly qualified teachers for grades 1-4 of general secondary schools, who possess modern pedagogical technologies and have a deep understanding of child psychology.

The faculty mainly trains personnel in the following areas:
Bachelor's degree:

60110500 - Primary education: Students of this direction study the methodology of teaching subjects such as the native language, mathematics, education, and natural science in primary grades.

Master's degree:

70110501 - Theory and methodology of primary education: It is aimed at training scientific and pedagogical personnel, and scientific research is conducted on current problems in the field.

Departments within the faculty
The main specialized departments that provide the faculty's activities (names may change, but are basically formed as follows):

Department of Primary Education Methodology: The main specialized subjects (methodology of teaching the native language, methodology of teaching mathematics, etc.) are taught through this department.

Department of Primary Education Theory: Cooperates with departments that provide students with pedagogical skills and psychological knowledge.

The Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences specializes in training students to become qualified specialists not only in socio-political knowledge, but also in practical skills (sports, art, crafts). The uniqueness of the faculty is that it combines areas that serve the spiritual, physical, and aesthetic development of a person.

Atayeva Guli Shukhratovna

I am Atayeva Guli Shukhratovna, born on 01.08.1997 in Urgench, Khorezm region. In 2023, I was admitted to the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute—70110101 "Theory and History of Pedagogy (by types of activity)" with 100 points on the basis of the 1st Grand. I have excellent command of Russian and English as foreign languages, and I have a multilevel B2 certificate in English. Also, during my master's degree, I published several scientific articles, participated in conferences, and sought to develop my scientific activity. During my internship, I gained experience at our Urgench State Pedagogical Institute. The master's degree taught me to delve deeper into the field, think independently, and take a serious approach to scientific research. I had the opportunity to consolidate my knowledge of Pedagogy and apply it in practice. Through my master's thesis, I highlighted the issue of moral and aesthetic culture in students. I am currently a teacher at the "Pedagogy" department of our institute's Faculty of Pedagogy.

Yuldoshev Sarvarbek

There are many honorable professions in the world. In my opinion, the most difficult and honorable among such professions is a teacher, a pedagogue. The reason is that they teach in the most complex areas, from reading to writing. These are the people who play an important role in the development of a person from primary education into a qualified specialist and cadre. I, Yuldoshev Sarvarbek, was admitted to the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute in 2022 for a master's degree in Music Education and Art. I studied here for 2 years, and professors and teachers taught me scientifically. During this period, I also formed the goal of teaching and the intention to stay at this institution and become a worthy follower in the footsteps of my teachers. The development, scientific research, and healthy environment here encouraged me to join the UrDPI family. Currently, I am working as a teacher at this institution. This activity gives me immense pride and pleasure. I also aimed to obtain a PhD and an academic title like Professor, just like my teachers.

Ollaberganova Gulora

Urgench State Pedagogical Institute is one of the leading higher educational institutions in our country for the training of pedagogical personnel. Mahliya Ruzmatova

There are many honorable and responsible professions in the world. In my opinion, the most challenging and honorable of these is the profession of a teacher and educator, as they shape the future of society by educating and nurturing the younger generation. I, Ruzmatova Mahliya, was born on July 10, 2002, in Urganch District, Khorezm Region. In 2023, I was admitted to the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, specializing in 70110201 – Theory and Methods of Education (Preschool Education). Currently, I work as a methodologist at the Institute’s International Cooperation Department and as a teacher in the Preschool Education Department. During my work at the institute, I had the opportunity not only to strengthen my theoretical knowledge but also to develop practical skills. This process encourages me to continuously improve myself, adopt new pedagogical approaches, and achieve better results in educating the younger generation. The institute’s leadership and staff constantly focus on improving the quality of science and education, giving special attention to supporting young specialists. Gulshoda Jumanazarova

Among the many respected professions in the world, the profession of a teacher holds a special place. In my view, being a pedagogue is both highly responsible and honorable, as teachers shape individuals from their earliest stages of learning and guide them toward becoming competent and socially responsible specialists. I, Jumanazarova Gulshoda, began my academic journey at the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, where I pursued my master’s studies. Throughout my education, I was taught by experienced professors who not only provided strong theoretical knowledge but also encouraged independent thinking and scientific inquiry. During my years of study, I developed a clear goal to devote myself to teaching and to continue my professional path within this institution, following the example of my mentors. Nodira Sultanova

I am Sultanova Nodira, born on February 9, 2001, in Gurlan District, Khorezm Region. In 2023, I was admitted to the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, specializing in 70110101 – Theory and History of Pedagogy (by types of activity), through the first grant with a score of 100. I am proficient in Turkish and English and hold a multi-level B2 certificate in Turkish. During my master’s studies, I also published several scientific articles, participated in conferences, and actively worked on developing my academic and research skills. Throughout my professional experience, I gained practical experience at the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute. During my master’s studies, I learned to explore the field more deeply, think independently, and approach scientific research with seriousness.
