Also, one of the first in the republic, an advanced engineering school was established at the university in cooperation with Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

Foreign, scientific-innovative, scientific-practical projects, and the commercialization process are also effectively operating at the university. This year, more than 10 international scientific-practical conferences were organized. More than 50 researchers defend their dissertations annually. International cooperation is entering a new stage

An important meeting was held between the Rector of Bukhara State Technical University, Sadoqat Siddiqova, and the leadership of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia.

During the meeting, agreements were reached in the following areas:
🔹 Establishment of an advanced center for halal gastronomy and tourism
🔹 Launch of a center for the development and production of drone technologies

Within the framework of cooperation, plans were outlined to develop education and scientific research based on international standards, implement joint projects and scientific publications, conduct master classes, and establish modern laboratories.

The DESOI GmbH company, located in Kalbach, Germany, is taking its cooperation with Bukhara State Technical University to a new level. During the visit, a meeting was held with Rector Sadoqat Siddiqova, resulting in agreements on joint projects and the integration of modern technologies into the educational process.

With over 40 years of experience, the company produces innovative equipment for the construction and industrial sectors. Within the framework of this cooperation, efforts will focus on training skilled personnel, conducting research, and particularly on the restoration of cultural heritage sites. This initiative will contribute to the preservation and rehabilitation of historical monuments in Bukhara using modern and effective methods.

Bukhara State Technical University has signed cooperation agreements with more than 120 (Malaysia, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Russia, Belarus, etc.) higher education institutions. It has been cooperating with 30 enterprises in the fields of oil and gas, textile, energy, mechanical engineering, information technology and other industries.

Scientific Integration Established Between Bukhara State Technical University and the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center

An important meeting was held at Bukhara State Technical University with representatives of the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center. The meeting was attended by the Rector of BSTU, Sadoqat Siddiqova, the Director of the Center, Saidmurod Niyazbekov, specialists of the Center, and Japanese expert Yuki Yanagida.

During the meeting, presentations were made on the Center’s activities, modern laboratories, opportunities created for young people, as well as joint projects being implemented in cooperation with Japan. In addition, prospects for the development of hydrogen energy were discussed.

The parties thoroughly discussed issues of promising cooperation in the fields of energy, innovation, and technology transfer. As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Bukhara State Technical University and the Uzbekistan–Japan Youth Innovation Center.

This memorandum will:

✅ enhance coordination of bilateral scientific research activities;
✅ promote the development of academic mobility for students and young researchers;
✅ support the implementation of joint innovative and applied projects,

thereby taking cooperation in these areas to a new level.

BDTU and LAVART Company Sign a Cooperation Memorandum

During the second part of the visit, a cooperation memorandum was signed between the LAVART delegation and the Bukhara Regional Administration.

The memorandum is aimed at developing energy infrastructure, implementing environmentally friendly heat technologies, carrying out investment projects, and enhancing the potential of local specialists.

This collaboration opens up new opportunities for knowledge acquisition and investment for both the university and the region.

A permanent cooperation has been established between the faculty departments that train qualified specialists and industrial enterprises. Branches of the departments have been organized at enterprises, where students, in their free time from classes, apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies in practice, thereby strengthening their professional skills. In addition, specialists from industrial enterprises are actively involved in the educational process.

Specialists from industrial enterprises directly participate in the educational process of graduating students, assess their knowledge, and, based on official contracts, create all necessary conditions for students to complete their pre-graduation internships at their enterprises. Enterprise managers ensure employment for students who demonstrate strong knowledge and professional potential during the internship period.

At present, the Faculty of Engineering has 1,161 students studying in 60 academic groups. Of these, 916 students are enrolled on a tuition-fee (contract) basis, while 245 students study under the State Grant. Among the total number of students, 958 are male and 203 are female.

The faculty comprises 6 departments, of which 4 are specialized (major) departments.

Currently, 111 academic staff members are working at the Faculty of Engineering, including 8 professors, 26 associate professors, 30 senior lecturers, 15 assistants, 32 trainee lecturers, as well as 4 foreign professors and lecturers.

Within the framework of the five important initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at enhancing the spiritual development of youth and organizing their leisure time meaningfully, the faculty has established more than 20 scientific and technical clubs, as well as a creative and artistic group called “Satire and Humor.”

The faculty includes 3 State Scholarship holders named after Beruni and 1 State Scholarship holder named after I. Karimov. In addition, 10 students are winners of international competitions, while 12 students have become winners of national competitions and academic Olympiads. Moreover, students and academic staff of the faculty regularly participate in sports competitions organized at the institute and consistently achieve prize-winning positions.

A Scientific and Innovation Center has been established under the faculty and is actively operating. Along with conducting scientific research, the center implements contractual projects and ensures student employment. Currently, 10 students and 8 researchers are provided with permanent jobs.

In the “Zakovat” intellectual games organized at the institute, two teams from the faculty regularly participate. In April, the “Satire and Humor” team won an honorable 3rd place and received valuable prizes. In football competitions among institute students, the faculty team won 2nd place, in mini-football — 3rd place, and among academic staff — 3rd place.

To ensure meaningful use of students’ extracurricular free time, the faculty has established three interest-based clubs:

  • the “Satire and Humor” Student Theatre Studio,

  • the “Architectural Industrialization” KVN team,

  • the Zakovat intellectual group,
    as well as 15 clubs and sports sections.

Group tutors organized mini-football competitions among academic groups.

The faculty employs a total of 119 teaching staff, including 62 faculty members with academic degrees, of which 5 are Doctors of Science and Professors, representing 49.6% of the scientific potential.

Currently, the faculty has 1,322 students studying in 64 academic groups. All classes are conducted in modern classrooms and laboratory facilities.

In accordance with five important initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to enhance youth spirituality and organize their leisure time meaningfully, the faculty has organized 15 scientific and technical clubs and 3 creative and artistic groups called “Dynamite”.

Among the students, there is 1 state scholarship recipient named Beruni, 2 winners of international competitions, and 4 students who are winners of republican competitions and scientific Olympiads.

In addition, students and faculty members regularly participate in sports competitions organized by the institute and have consistently won prize-winning positions.

The faculty implements projects and economic contracts, including:

  • AL-593201250 worth 500 million UZS — “Key (main) technology for the joint production of sunflower oil and protein through pressing and extraction at moderate temperature”;

  • ELBA-ERASMUS program — 47,700 Euros;

  • Project for training medical nurses — 700,000,000 UZS.

The Department of Information and Communication Technologies is provided with educational materials, including new publications. In particular, the faculty members of the department have prepared 2 textbooks and 8 teaching manuals this year. These materials have been expanded at the institute's expense and uploaded to the Automated Workstation (AWM/ARM).

During our visit to Bukhara, we visited Bukhara State Technical University with the members of the delegation, got acquainted with the conditions created at the university, and held negotiations with the officials. During our visit to Bukhara State Technical University, we came to discuss important issues in the areas of bioengineering, architecture and construction technology, sustainable development, management, alternative energy, and artificial intelligence.
