It includes methods and means for obtaining and synthesizing products of the oil refining and gas processing industries, as well as a set of methods for creating new materials using physical, physico-chemical, and chemical processes.

This professional activity includes: studying the composition, structure, and properties of raw materials and finished products in production processes, fundamentals of efficient production processes and chemical industry technologies, their operation and maintenance, improvement of existing oil, gas, and gas condensate processing technologies, design of technological processes for oil and gas processing, construction, adjustment, and operation of technological equipment, development of high-quality fuels and lubricants and study of their properties, as well as research into the physico-chemical properties of raw materials and materials used in oil and gas processing.
