Geology

To implement the tasks outlined in Appendix 2, Item 93 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-60 dated January 28, 2022, “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026” and in Appendix 1, Item 2 of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-154 dated March 2, 2022, “On Measures for the Further Improvement of the Activities of the University of Geological Sciences within the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” an Agreement has been signed between the University of Geological Sciences and Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) on the introduction of a double-degree “2+2” joint educational program in the bachelor's field of study “60530500 Geology (by area of activity).” According to the Agreement, students will study at the University of Geological Sciences in the 1st and 2nd years, and at Moscow State University in the 3rd and 4th years. As a result, upon graduation, students will receive diplomas from both universities.

The GFU-MSU joint educational program was reviewed according to the procedure established by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 421 dated July 6, 2021, “On Approval of the Regulation on the Procedure for Organizing Educational Activities Based on Joint Educational Programs of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Foreign Partner Higher Education Institutions.”
