About the university
Based on the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 307 of July 15, 1966, the initial admission plan for SamDAQI in the academic year 1966-1967 consisted of 525 students in the full-time department. . This plan was distributed according to specialties as follows: 1201 - 100 for "Architecture" specialty; 1202-"Industrial and civil construction" specialty - 350; 1721 - admission of 75 students to the "Construction Economy and Construction Organization" specialty.
525 students admitted to the three specialties of the institute were attached to the "Industry and civil engineering" faculty and started the educational process from October 1 with 7 chairs and 3 departments. By the beginning of 1967, 7 chairs - "Higher mathematics", "Physics", "Chemistry", "History", "Drawing geometry", "Construction materials", "Painting, visual arts and sculpture" departments were organized in the institute.
SamDAQU was founded in 1966 and received the status of a University on November 8, 2022.

For international students
1. Is there a dormitory for international students at the university?
There are no separate dormitories for international students. They are accommodated together with Uzbek students to help them integrate more quickly into Uzbek culture, become familiar with university and city life, and improve their language skills. All dormitories are corridor-type or block-type buildings with shared bathrooms and kitchens on each floor. All buildings have been renovated.
2. Are the student residences far from the academic buildings?
All dormitories are located within the university campus.
3. How many people live in one room?
Students are accommodated in double and triple occupancy rooms.
4. Where are the facilities located (showers, toilets)?
The showers and toilets are located inside the dormitory building and are organized as shared facilities for all students. These sanitary facilities are located on the dormitory floors and are used jointly by residents.
5. Where is the kitchen located? Is it equipped with household appliances and utensils?
The kitchen is located in the common area of the dormitory and is intended for use by all students. It is equipped with the necessary household appliances and utensils, including electric stoves, refrigerators, and equipment for cooking and food storage. Students may use the kitchen in accordance with established regulations.
6. What does the university provide to students upon moving in?
Upon arrival, students are provided with the following furniture and items: a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bedding, as well as a mattress, blanket, pillow, and bed linens.
7. Is there Wi‑Fi in the dormitory?
Free Wi‑Fi is available in the dormitories. Students can access it using their personal login credentials and password.
8. Are there any additional facilities in the dormitory building?
All buildings have free laundry facilities, study rooms, and recreation rooms.
9. What is the monthly dormitory fee?
On average, accommodation costs approximately 300,000 Uzbek soums per month, depending on the type of accommodation.
10. What is available around the dormitory?
University buildings, a youth recreation park, a polyclinic, a sports hall, the National Library, and educational centers are located nearby.

Opportunities for students

Kadirov Bakhadir Tukhtaevich was born in 1972 in the Surkhandarya region. In 1994, he graduated from the Faculty of Industrial and Civil Engineering with a degree in civil engineering, Chairman of the Board of the Surkhan Industrial Construction company in the city of Termez, was awarded the honorary title “Honored Builder of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, Senator of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Committee on Development and Ecology Arolboy district.

Salyamov Anvar is the executive director of Enterengineeringpte Ltd "Heavy Industry Project Directorate". He was born in 1980 in the city of Samarkand. He has a higher education. He graduated from the Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering with a degree in civil engineering. He started working at EnterEngineering in 2017. He worked as a procurement specialist, head of the engineering and technical department, deputy general director - director of the purchasing and control department, deputy general director, director of the project office.

Khalmuradov Rustam Ibragimovich was born in 1949 in the Samarkand region. In 1967-1972 he graduated from the Samarkand State Architectural and Construction Institute with a degree in construction education. He is a Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor. Rector of Samarkand State University, holder of the Order of Respect for the Motherland, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, senator of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The "Construction" faculty was the first faculty established at the institute in 1966. Currently, the faculty has 5 departments, all of which are specialized departments.

- Department of Environmental Engineering (Head of Department, PhD, Associate Professor B.M.Norqulov) consists of 1 professor, 8 associate professors and PhD holders, and 10 lecturers.
- Department of Geomatics Engineering (Head of Department, PhD V.R.Niyazov) consists of 3 professors, 4 associate professors and PhD holders, and 21 lecturers.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the following laboratories are operational in the Faculty of Construction: "Geomatics", "Mechanical Engineering", "Environmental Engineering", "Safety of Life Activities", "Material Resistance", "Construction Materials", "Automation", and "Road Construction Materials".
In recent years, the faculty has expanded its international cooperation with leading universities ranked in the global TOP-1000. Academic exchanges are conducted with institutions such as BMTU, MarxI MDQU, YTU, and ITU.
The faculty promotes scientific research by involving youth, fostering scientific and creative collaboration, and supporting young scientists. It collaborates with approximately 30 industrial enterprises in the fields of science, education, and production.

Faculty History
The faculty was established in 2012 under the name “Faculty of Construction Management.” On November 8, 2022, it was renamed the “Faculty of Economics and Management” based on Resolution PQ-416. Graduates of the faculty can work in various positions such as technical specialists, senior specialists, department heads, and company managers at the Regional Departments of Architecture and Construction, the Road Design Institute, the Regional Department of Land Resources and State Cadaster, the State Unitary Enterprise for Land Survey and Real Estate Cadaster Service, the Samarkand branch of the Uzdaverloyiha Institute, the Regional Department of Secondary Specialized and Vocational Colleges, the Regional State Tax Administration’s Department of Land and Real Estate Taxation, private real estate appraisal firms, construction production organizations, and planning-economic departments of design institutes.

ABOUT THE FACULTY
The Faculty of Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites was established under the leadership of University Rector Çiğdem Canbay Turkyilmaz in accordance with the Presidential Decree PQ-416, dated November 8, 2022, titled “Measures for Further Improving the System of Training Personnel in the Field of Architecture and Construction."
As of 2024, the faculty has 21 professors and instructors, including 4 associate professors, 2 PhD holders, 2 foreign lecturers, 4 senior lecturers, and 9 instructors. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 44 students graduated from the faculty. Currently, 257 students are pursuing their education here.
