Psychology

The training of specialists in the master’s program “Psychology: Sports Psychology” is carried out in a full-time education format.

This specialty belongs to the field of “Social and Behavioral Sciences”. It includes teaching specialized subjects in all educational institutions, conducting scientific research activities in the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and sectoral research institutes, centers, and scientific-production associations, as well as solving complex psychological problems related to organizing and managing activities in central and local government bodies.

It is aimed at analyzing behavioral and communication processes, mechanisms of interpersonal relations, patterns of group formation, forecasting human intellectual potential and talent levels, and developing professional skills and management abilities. Therefore, this master’s specialty is considered one of the most necessary fields today.

During the 2-year study program in “Psychology: Sports Psychology”, you will acquire extensive theoretical and practical knowledge and master the latest and most essential disciplines.

Program Structure

Within 4 semesters (2 years), students must earn a total of 120 credits.

• Total classroom hours: 900 hours
• Research work and preparation of master’s thesis: 1110 hours
• Scientific-pedagogical work: 240 hours
• Scientific practice (internship): 450 hours

Additional Notes

1. 1 credit equals 30 academic hours.
2. Final state attestation includes preparation and defense of the master’s thesis.
3. Scientific practice is conducted in higher education institutions, research institutes, and base organizations and enterprises. The first 5 weeks are held in employer organizations, and the next 10 weeks are organized in specialty departments.
4. Due to the nature of the program and additional sports training sessions, theoretical education may be conducted online or in distance learning format.
