Description of the master's specialty 70110801 – Native Language and Literature: Russian Language:

This master's specialty is aimed at training highly qualified specialists with in-depth theoretical knowledge and research skills in the field of the Russian language and literature. A master's student must earn 30 credits per semester and 60 credits per academic year. The duration of study is 2 years, and the student must earn 120 credits before completing the program.

For a student, the number of hours per ECTS credit is as follows: 1 credit constitutes 30 academic hours, and the student's annual academic workload of 60 credits amounts to 1,800 academic hours.

Types of professional activity of graduates of the master's specialty 70110801 – Native Language and Literature: Russian Language:

• teaching subjects in the Russian language and literature in accordance with the established procedure at higher education institutions, general secondary, secondary specialized, and professional education institutions;
• conducting research activities in the field of the Russian language and literature at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, sectoral scientific research institutes, and scientific centers;
• working in government administration bodies, publishing houses, mass media, and institutions engaged in translation and editorial activities;
• developing and implementing modern methods, didactic tools, and technologies for teaching the Russian language and literature;
• carrying out professional activities aimed at solving complex scientific and practical problems in the field of Russian linguistics and literary studies.

Graduates who have completed the master's specialty 70110801 – Native Language and Literature: Russian Language may continue their scientific activities at the stages of basic doctoral studies (PhD) and doctoral studies (DSc) in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
