About the programme
This master's program is designed to prepare highly qualified specialists capable of pursuing academic, pedagogical, and professional careers in the field of Pashto linguistics. Students gain advanced knowledge of the phonetic, lexical, grammatical, and stylistic features of the Pashto language, as well as comparative linguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, cognitive linguistics, and contemporary linguistic theories.
Throughout the program, students develop practical skills in research methodology, academic writing, working with electronic language corpora, linguistic data analysis, and the application of modern information and communication technologies. They also study the languages, cultures, and intercultural communication of Afghanistan and South Asia, as well as academic translation and the application of modern language technologies.
Graduates are well prepared for careers in higher education institutions, research institutes, translation centers, international organizations, government agencies, mass media organizations, and international academic and educational projects.
