The main goal of the master's program "History of Uzbekistan" is to study specialists in the field of national history at the level of the requirements of modern science.

Students in this direction will receive fundamental knowledge of history by studying courses such as: Innovations in the discipline History of Uzbekistan", History of toponyms of Uzbekistan, Land and water relations in Uzbekistan (from ancient times to the present day), Current issues in the discipline History of Uzbekistan, Interethnic relations and tolerance in Uzbekistan, History of Samarkand (from ancient times to the present day). These subjects are designed to study the theoretical foundations of the sciences necessary for historical knowledge.

At the stages of studying the courses, special attention is paid to:

- in-depth study of such disciplines as Innovations in the discipline History of Uzbekistan, History of toponyms of Uzbekistan, Relations of land and water in Uzbekistan (from ancient times to the present day), Current issues in the discipline History of Uzbekistan, Interethnic relations and tolerance in Uzbekistan, History of Samarkand (with ancient times to the present day), including their theoretical sections. These subjects are designed to study the theoretical foundations of science which  necessary for historical knowledge;

 

-institutional and communication aspects of the academic space;

- information technology in humanities research;

- formation of fundamental general professional knowledge, practical skills and studies necessary for the study and in-depth development of specialized subjects in the field of historical education;

- in accordance with the professional activities of masters in the field of historical education, to form an idea of ​​the existing problems in the historical field, achievements and prospects for the development of history in general in the world and in our country;

- effective use of historical written sources, providing important knowledge on how to use them in historical research;

The area of ​​professional activity of graduates who have completed the master's program “History of Uzbekistan” includes: work in educational organizations of professional and higher education, archives, museums, specialized academic and research institutes.

The objects of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the master's program “History of Uzbekistan” are historical processes and phenomena in their sociocultural, political and economic dimensions and their reflection in historical sources.

At stages 1-2 they undergo scientific practice (gain experience).

After successful completion of 2 years of study, the specialty of historian-teacher is assigned.

1 credit is equal to 30 academic hours.

The average score is determined annually in the third week of August.

The university takes into account the requirements of personnel customers when developing a program of specialized subjects and forming a list of subjects.

Scientific activity consists of research work and preparation of master's theses and scientific and pedagogical work.

The final state certification period includes the defense of a master's thesis.

For a course project (work) in subjects, a load of 30 hours (1 credit) is allocated at the expense of independent hours allocated for the subject.

Scientific practice (internship) is carried out in higher educational institutions, research institutions, industry and industry organizations and enterprises.
