Directing: Directing of Drama Theatre

This academic program is designed to equip master's students with pedagogical, theoretical, and practical foundations in directing, including the core elements and genres of stage works, the specific aspects of drama theatre directing, its social, moral, and aesthetic significance, as well as the methods for applying this knowledge in practice.

Research and Master's Thesis (preparation and defense): 540 hours
Scientific and pedagogical practice: 210 hours
Research internship (practical training): 150 hours

Curriculum structure:

• Theoretical and practical education — 45 weeks (semesters 1–3)

• Pedagogical internship — 13 weeks (semester 3)

• Assessment periods — 12 weeks (semesters 1–3)

• Final state attestation — 4 weeks (semester 4)

• Vacation periods — 18 weeks (across 4 semesters)

Notes:

1. One credit equals 30 academic hours

2. For course projects or assignments, one credit is granted per 30 hours of independent study

3. Final state attestation includes the preparation and defense of the master's thesis

4. Practical training is conducted at higher education institutions, research centers, and affiliated organizations
