The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” has been launched
In our country, the sports competitions of the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” have been officially launched, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people, popularizing sports, and supporting talented students. Today, the grand opening ceremony of this prestigious competition was organized at a high level simultaneously across all higher education institutions in the country on the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. This demonstrates that the Olympiad has been systematically organized on a large scale at the national level.
The opening ceremony held in the city of Fergana was also conducted in a high-spirited atmosphere. The event was actively attended by leaders of higher education institutions in the region, professors and teachers, student-athletes, and leaders of sports clubs. In particular, the Rector of Kokand State University, Dilnoza Khodjayeva, also participated in the event, wished success to the students, and shared her views on the role of sports in the lives of young people.
During the event, information was provided about students participating from all higher education institutions of the region. It was noted that, to date, participants have been fully registered in 7 sports and have thoroughly prepared for the competitions.
As emphasized, within the framework of this Olympiad, which will be held in April–May, intense competitions will be organized in basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis, swimming, and football. These competitions not only create a healthy competitive environment among students but also contribute to enhancing their physical potential, strengthening their willpower, and fostering team spirit.
The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” plays an important role in increasing young people’s interest in sports, organizing their free time meaningfully, and expanding the ranks of professional athletes in the future. It is expected that the most talented and capable students will be selected through these competitions and will достойно represent the honor of the country at higher stages.
