The 1st International Medical Olympiad “Termez–2026”

The Olympiad brings together university teams from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and several other countries. More than 100 talented students, along with representatives of over 10 international universities and more than 50 higher education institutions from across Uzbekistan, are participating in the event, where they will demonstrate their knowledge and academic excellence across various medical disciplines.

The opening ceremony was officially inaugurated by A. Absamatov, Rector of Termez University of Economics and Service. Among the keynote speakers were Professor A. Ibragimov, Director of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), and Doctor of Chemical Sciences; A. Knesheva, Assistant at the Department of Pathological Anatomy of the I. K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy; and M. Yusupov, Associate Professor of the Department of Physiology at Samarkand State Medical University. They emphasized the importance of the Olympiad in promoting medical education, scientific cooperation, and international academic exchange.
