Tashkent State University of Law–Hong Kong: New Horizons in International Legal Cooperation
A delegation led by Paul Lam, Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, visited Tashkent State University of Law.
During the negotiations, opportunities were discussed for establishing TSUL's cooperation with The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, including conducting joint scientific research, organizing exchanges of students and faculty members, holding summer schools, conferences and seminars, arranging guest lectures, and developing professional development and training programs for legal personnel.
International and comparative law, commercial law, international arbitration and mediation, digital law, cross-border legal practice, and professional legal education were identified as promising areas of cooperation. Particular attention was given to applying Hong Kong's "common law" legal tradition and its experience in international legal services and commercial dispute resolution to educational and academic processes.
