“Honoring Navoi” — the 585th anniversary of the great poet was celebrated
At the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, a spiritual and educational event titled “Honoring Navoi” was organized on the occasion of the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and master of words, Alisher Navoi. The event is aimed at widely promoting the invaluable treasures of national literature and strengthening in the hearts of young people a sense of artistic thinking, high spirituality, and national identity.
The event was attended by the faculty administration, professors and teachers, literary scholars, and students. In the opening speech, special emphasis was placed on the invaluable role of Alisher Navoi’s творчество in the development of Uzbek literature, as well as the ideas of humanism, compassion, patriotism, and spiritual maturity embodied in his works.
During the program, students expressively recited Navoi’s ghazals and rubaiyat, and theatrical performances dedicated to the poet’s heritage were presented. In particular, scenes staged based on the epics of the “Khamsa” aroused great interest and left a strong impression on the audience. Performances of classical melodies and songs gave the event a festive and uplifting atmosphere.
In addition, faculty members emphasized the relevance of Navoi’s works for today’s youth and their importance in fostering moral purity, the pursuit of knowledge, and spiritual growth. Students also shared their thoughts and impressions about the creative legacy of the great poet.
The spiritual and educational event, held in a festive and sincere spirit, further strengthened respect for the heritage of great ancestors and increased young people’s love for literature.
The event organized at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology became one of the important steps toward honoring the figure of Alisher Navoi, promoting his invaluable literary heritage, and passing it on to future generations.
