Delegation of Bukhara State Technical University Visits Polotsk State University

As part of the visit, a meeting and negotiations were held between the leadership of the two higher education institutions. During the discussions, the parties thoroughly reviewed opportunities to expand academic exchange programmes, enhance the mobility of faculty members and students, establish joint educational programmes, implement collaborative research projects, elevate international cooperation to a new level, and promote innovation.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, Bukhara State Technical University and Yevfrosiniya Polotskaya Polotsk State University signed a memorandum aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.

The memorandum will serve as an important legal framework for further developing partnership relations between the two universities, promoting the exchange of international experience, and jointly implementing promising projects in the fields of education and science.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, joint curricula and educational programmes in nine academic fields were approved, and the parties reached an agreement to launch joint educational programmes starting from the 2026–2027 academic year.

In addition, the parties discussed the establishment of a Joint Faculty, the expansion of academic mobility for students and faculty members, the implementation of collaborative research projects, and the establishment of modern scientific and educational laboratories.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the historic campus of Yevfrosiniya Polotskaya Polotsk State University, located within the former Jesuit College complex dating back to the 17th–18th centuries. During the tour, the delegation was introduced to the university's centuries-old history, unique architectural heritage, museum exhibitions, and modern interactive educational technologies.

The delegation of Bukhara State Technical University visited NAFTAN Oil Refinery, one of the largest industrial enterprises in the Republic of Belarus, to gain first-hand insight into its operations.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the company's museum, where they learned about the refinery's history, the development of the oil refining industry, and exhibitions showcasing modern production technologies and innovative approaches.

The delegation also became acquainted with the enterprise's industrial capacity, ongoing modernization of production processes, high-tech manufacturing system, and advanced practices in integrating science with industry.

The visit represents an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the university and industrial enterprises, promoting the exchange of practical experience, and creating opportunities for future joint projects.
