An international scientific and practical conference titled "Higher Education of Uzbekistan - On the Path of Innovative Development" was held at the Kokand State Pedagogical Institute.
The conference was opened by Jasur Azamov, the vice-rector for finance and economic affairs of the institute, who discussed the priority areas for the systematic reform of higher education, raising the quality of training highly qualified specialists with modern knowledge and skills capable of independent thinking, and the reforms aimed at modernizing higher education being implemented in our country.
The main goal of the conference was to analyze the strategic objectives and priority areas for the development of higher education, align the higher education system with international educational standards, deeply study and analyze advanced foreign experiences, and develop substantiated proposals for adapting educational programs to the requirements of globally recognized international standards.
Prominent scholars from Central Asia and foreign countries, particularly from higher education institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Japan, as well as representatives from research institutes in Uzbekistan, practitioners, and faculty members from higher education institutions participated in the conference.
