“1st International Conference on Global Health”
On February 9-10, 2026, an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the medical field, the "1st International Conference on Global Health", was held at the Urgench State Medical Institute.
As part of the conference, on February 9, the delegation members visited the departments of “Internal Diseases and Dermatovenerology”, “Physiology and Pathological Physiology”, “Military Field Surgery, Traumatology and Orthopedics”, “Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology”, “Obstetrics and Gynecology, Oncology” of the institute.
The delegation members conducted master classes for students and got acquainted with the activities of the departments and the teaching processes.
On February 10, the international conference began. A group of prominent scientists from Azerbaijan participated in it offline, and leading experts from a number of countries of the world participated online. Local leading specialists, masters of the institute, clinical residents, and professors and teachers also actively participated.
The participation of scientists and specialists from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the conference was an important step towards exchanging experience in the field of healthcare, conducting joint scientific research, and expanding academic cooperation. The scientific ideas, innovative approaches, and practical proposals presented are not only of theoretical importance, but also provide important results that can be effectively applied in healthcare practice.
