About the university
About Tashkent State Agrarian University
Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU), established in 1930, is one of the leading higher education and research institutions in Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. The university consists of 8 faculties and 26 departments, offering education in 32 bachelor's and 44 master's degree programs. Currently, more than 14,485 students are enrolled.
TSAU’s primary mission is to train highly qualified specialists in agriculture, advance scientific research, and develop and implement innovative technologies for sustainable development in the agrarian sector. The university employs 562 academic staff, of whom 271 hold academic degrees, including 45 doctors of science. This reflects a scientific capacity of 71.2%.
TSAU maintains international cooperation with prestigious universities in the USA, Germany, Japan, South Korea, China, and other countries. It has over 20 modern laboratories where more than 50 scientific projects are conducted annually.
A total of 127 students are studying in joint educational programs, including 22 master's students. Under memoranda of understanding, 16 students are enrolled, 1 of whom is a master's student.

Language Learning and Integration Opportunities
For international students, language comprehension and rapid adaptation to the university environment are of great importance. Therefore, the university has created the necessary conditions to facilitate the learning process and ensure students’ academic and social integration.
These opportunities help students feel like full members of the university community and successfully adapt to the new environment.

Tashkent State Agrarian University on the way to international cooperation
Tashkent State Agrarian University currently cooperates with more than 40 foreign universities and leading agricultural organizations, and also actively participates in various projects. In particular, within the framework of mutual agreements and memoranda between higher education institutions in Central and East Asia, Europe, America and other countries, tasks such as student exchange, academic business trips, research work organized to improve the qualification potential of the teaching staff are carried out. Within the framework of the USAID “Agribusiness Development” project, 7 students of the Agrarian University received a referral to the United States University of Missouri in order to further enrich their practical skills with foreign experience.
28 master's degree students of the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin of Kazakhstan during a 2-week visit to Tashkent State Agrarian University completed an educational internship with the support of the university's teaching staff. The guests not only increased their scientific potential, but also had the opportunity to get to know better our national cultural heritage, traditions and customs. They have been provided with all conditions in the dormitory and academic buildings of our university.
In addition, two undergraduates of the Kazakh Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov are also interning at our university. Two representatives of the People's Republic of China, bachelor Wu Yue, fourth year, as well as graduate student Liu Changxin, fifth year, are studying at our university.

Tashkent State Agrarian University currently cooperates on joint educational programs with 9 prestigious higher educational institutions of 6 foreign countries. In particular, these are Irkutsk State Agrarian University of the Russian Federation, Volgograd State Agrarian University, Bashkir State Agrarian University, Kazan Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Grodno State Agrarian University of the Republic of Belarus, VSB University of the Republic of Poland, Vytautas Magnus University of the Republic of Lithuania, MATE University in Hungary and the Aegean University of the Republic of Turkey.
In total, more than 160 students are enrolled in these co-educational programs in various master's and bachelor's degrees.
Also, starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, it is planned to organize new joint educational programs with the Latvian University of Natural Sciences and Technologies, the Northwestern University of Forestry and Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and the Kuban State Agrarian University of the Russian Federation.

Opportunities for students
Tashkent State Agrarian University has a lot of talented young students, the students won the 3rd place in the Republican stage of the competition of theater studios, and the 1st place in the republican stage of the "Youth Innovative Agriculture" competition. Republic Among the higher education institutions, the first vice-rector of the university S.Islamov was awarded with a letter of thanks from the ministry, the ensemble "Ashula va raks" was formed, our students actively participated in the republican stage of the "Discussion" game.
Students recommended for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and named state scholarships have prepared their documents in accordance with the procedure for submission of candidate documents to the ministry by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Also: rapid development of agricultural sectors and the social sphere, wide use of scientific-intellectual and scientific-innovative potential, setting priorities for regular reform of science in the future, training of highly qualified personnel with modern knowledge and independent thinking, modernization of scientific infrastructure in order to raise the quality to a new level, the total number of applicant students was 93, of which the list of candidates with the highest scores was formed among the participants who scored more than 75 points among the young men and women who expressed their desire to participate in 31 contests in 13 scholarship areas.
For the 2023/2024 academic year, "Scientific Council", "Independence", "Rector's scholarship", "Talented student", "Tolepbergen Qayipbergenov", "Abduvali Imomaliyev", "Young technologist", "Majidkhan Bakhodirov", "Mahmud Mirzayev", Students applying for internal scholarships named "Erkin Shaykhov", "Yosh Ormonchi", "Karim Rahmonberdiyev", "Ubaidulla Nosirov" will receive a basic scholarship from September 1 of this year (10 months). was recommended to the Scientific Council of the university for the appointment of an additional 50% scholarship. there are a total of 8 external scholars and 2 holders of the state award named after "Zulfia".

The Central Asian Agricultural Institute was founded in 1930 on the basis of the agricultural faculty of the University of Central Asia. That year, the Faculty of Agronomy was established, and now it prepared leading agricultural specialists in the field of agriculture. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 8, 2018, the RP-3704 Faculty of Agronomy was renamed the Faculty of Agrobiology.

The Department of "Ornamental Horticulture" is organized on the basis of the Department of Forestry and Ecology in the Faculty of Forestry and Medicinal Plants, according to the Decree No. 311 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 3, 2015. Today, professors and teachers of the department conduct lectures and practical classes in special subjects in the direction of undergraduate 5411200 - Decorative gardening and landscaping, in the direction of graduate schools 5A411201 - Gardening of human settlements and landscape design, 5A411202 - Decorative gardening.
