On the establishment of the Belarusian-Uzbek Joint Inter-sectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications in Tashkent

In accordance with the Strategy of Actions on further improving the training of highly qualified engineering and technical personnel for the sectors of the republic's economy, expanding international cooperation in the field of higher education, and five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021:

1. To approve the proposal of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Belarusian National Technical University, the Republican Institute of Vocational Education (Republic of Belarus) and the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University to establish the Belarusian-Uzbek Joint Inter-sectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) in Tashkent.

2. The main areas of activity and tasks of the Institute shall be as follows:

training highly qualified engineering and technical personnel in undergraduate and graduate specialties in accordance with international educational standards, including on the basis of joint educational programs, who can solve the most important scientific and production issues of the republic's industrial sectors;

developing and implementing modern educational programs and forms of higher and vocational education, introducing advanced pedagogical and information technologies, the latest achievements of science and technology into the educational process;

improving the quality and level of educational and methodological work by creating new curricula, textbooks, and teaching aids in accordance with undergraduate and graduate specialties;

training, retraining and advanced training of specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel for the sake of continuity and coherence of education and science, as well as integration into the global educational and scientific community;

support the development of scientific and pedagogical potential, actively improve pedagogical technologies and teaching methods;

conduct scientific research, implement innovative projects in mechanical engineering, mechanics, production automation, biotechnology, metrology and standardization, as well as other branches of industrial production, aimed at increasing efficiency, reliability and sustainable operation of production systems;

create conditions for the strong integration of education, science and production;

develop and strengthen long-term relations with leading educational institutions, research centers and business communities of foreign countries in the fields of education and science and technology.

3. It is determined that:

Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University is the founder of the Institute (hereinafter referred to as the founder), Belarusian National Technical University and the Republican Institute of Vocational Education (Republic of Belarus) are participants in the organization of the Institute's activities (hereinafter referred to as participants);

The Institute is a higher educational institution in the form of a state institution with the status of a legal entity, a resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

The Institute is engaged in the training, retraining and advanced training of highly qualified specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel;

The Institute carries out its activities in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of education;
