About the programme
This specialization aims to provide knowledge and skills in the international management and development of water resources, and the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic means.
The theoretical knowledge and practical competencies acquired as a result of the training will allow graduates to:
• Theoretical knowledge in the field of international water policy and water diplomacy;
• Expert analysis of global conflicts related to water resources;
• Application of diplomatic negotiations and mediation methods;
• Creation of reports and commentaries on water diplomacy;
• Assessment of water risks, compliance and inter-society cooperation.
Graduates can work in the following areas:
• Diplomats and experts in international negotiations - in state agencies and ministries on water resources;
• International organizations (e.g. UN, UNESCO), water consulting firms;
• Think tanks, non-governmental organizations on ecology and sustainable development;
• In academia and scientific research institutes.
