70110201 – Theory and Methodology of Education and Upbringing (Preschool Education). This master's programme covers the set of professional fields related to the scholarly foundations of preschool education and upbringing theory, child developmental psychology and age-specific characteristics, the design and implementation of preschool curricula and state requirements, the methodologies of play, speech, mathematical and creative activities, inclusive education and early intervention, the monitoring and evaluation of educational quality, cooperation with families, and the conduct of independent pedagogical research in the field of preschool education. Graduates may work as lecturers and senior lecturers in higher and specialised secondary education institutions, as directors and head methodologists of preschool education organisations, as experts and inspectors in preschool education administration bodies and methodological centres, as leading specialists in child development centres and non-state educational organisations, as authors and editors in academic publishing houses, as well as continue their academic career in doctoral studies (PhD).
