Textual Studies and Literary Source Studies: Turkic

This program is dedicated to the scholarly study of the written heritage, historical documents, and literary sources of the Turkic peoples. Students gain comprehensive knowledge of Old Uzbek, Old Turkic, textual criticism, source studies, and historical-philological research methods.

Throughout the program, students develop practical skills in reading, analyzing, describing, and preparing historical manuscripts for publication. They also explore modern approaches to preserving, studying, and promoting the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.

Graduates are well prepared for careers in research centers, museums, libraries, and higher education institutions.
