Software engineering
About the programme
Software Engineering
The Software Engineering programme is one of the most in-demand degrees in today's digital economy, preparing students
to design, develop, test and deploy complex software systems to international industry standards. The evening mode of
study enables students who work at IT companies or in other sectors during the day to combine their employment with
the acquisition of theoretical and practical programming knowledge in the evening hours.
Programme Objectives
To prepare highly qualified software engineers capable of independently managing the full software development
life-cycle — from requirements analysis through architectural design, coding, testing and maintenance. Graduates gain
hands-on experience with modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
Core Subjects:
• Algorithms and Data Structures
• Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• Software Architecture and Systems Analysis
• Web Development (Frontend and Backend technologies)
• Mobile Application Development (Android, iOS)
• Databases and SQL/NoSQL Systems
• Software Testing and Quality Assurance (QA)
• DevOps, CI/CD and Cloud Technologies
Skills Acquired:
• Designing the architecture of complex software systems
• Writing clean, efficient code in modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#)
• Setting up automated tests and CI/CD pipelines
• Working professionally with Git and team-based development tools
• Managing projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies
Advantages of Evening Mode
Students have the opportunity to work at IT companies as Junior Developers, interns or QA engineers in parallel with
their classes. This allows them to immediately link the theoretical knowledge gained at university with practical
tasks on real projects. As a result, graduates obtain a degree alongside several years of real professional experience
and a portfolio.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this programme build successful careers at international and local IT companies in roles such as:
software developer (Frontend, Backend, Full-stack), mobile developer, software architect, QA engineer, DevOps
engineer, team lead, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) — and as founders of their own startups.
Duration: 4.5 years (Bachelor's) | Mode of study: Evening | Field: Computer Technologies and Informatics
