About the programme

Our goal

Training of highly qualified specialists based on the curricula and science programs of leading universities in the field of mechatronics and robotics of developed countries and meeting the requirements of personnel consumers.

Our mission

To serve the stable economic and social development of the Republic of Uzbekistan by carrying out educational-methodical activities aimed at improving the quality of education and conducting scientific research activities aimed at solving production problems solved by automation and robotization of technological processes.

History of the department:

In 1986, the Department of "Robotics and Information Systems" was established for the first time in Central Asia at the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute.

The founder of the department and the first head of the department is a distinguished scientist, doctor of technical sciences, professor Polat Fattakhovich Khasanov, a major scientist in the field of robotics, recognized not only in our republic, but internationally, and highly qualified in the field of robotics in Uzbekistan. is the founder of personnel training system.

Since 1991, engineers who have studied at the department specializing in "Robotic systems and complexes" are working in science and production enterprises of our republic and other countries.

Professor P.F. After Hasanov, G.Kh. Rachmanova (1995-1997) and Kh.N. Nazarov (2001-2005) headed the department.

In 1991-2012, the department trained hundreds of engineers and bachelors in the field of "Robotic systems and complexes" and masters in the specialty "Management of robotic systems and complexes". Most of them contribute to the development of leading industrial enterprises of our republic.

According to the decision PQ-2524 of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.A. Karimov dated May 2, 2016 "On measures to further improve the activities of Tashkent State Technical University", in June 2016, the Department of "Mechatronics and Robotics" was newly established within TashDTU. done.

From 2016 to the present, the newly established "Mechatronics and Robotics" department of ToshDTU has been headed by candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Makhmudjon Mukhamedovich Abdullayev.

On the basis of this department, starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, students of the "Mechatronics and Robotics" bachelor's education and the corresponding master's specialty were accepted. Currently, 148 students are studying at the bachelor's degree in "Mechatronics and robotics" and 13 students are studying at the master's degree.

The department actively participates in the improvement processes implemented in the higher education system of the republic. The teaching staff of the department consists of 12 people - 2 doctors of technical sciences, professors, 2 candidates of sciences, associate professors, 4 senior teachers and 4 assistants.

The professors and teachers of the department have developed qualification requirements and curricula for the 60711500-Mechatronics and robotics undergraduate course and the 70711501-Mechatronics and robotics master's specialty. At the same time, science programs and work training programs have been developed for all specialty subjects.

The "Mechatronics and Robotics" department makes a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified, competent scientific and managerial personnel for our republic. Solving problems of automation and robotization in production between the department and "Uzeltexsanoat" association, enterprises producing products under the Artel brand, "Uzelektroapparat elektroshit" JSC, "GM Powertrain Uzbekistan" JSC and other production enterprises, establishing a branch of the department, developing Cooperation agreements have been concluded in order to attract the leading specialists in the field of education to the educational process, to organize the qualification practices of undergraduate and graduate students.

From the 2019-2020 academic year, the branch of the department, which was opened under the "Research and Development" experimental design center of the Artel company, will conduct trainings in the relevant disciplines by advanced production specialists.

The department has established relations with major scientific centers - N. Bauman State Technical University and State Technical University STANKIN (Moscow, Russia), Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

Professors-teachers and senior scientific staff of the department actively participate in various international and republican scientific conferences with their lectures and scientific developments in innovative fairs.
