Rationale for Establishing the Program

• Addressing the Challenges of Globalization: The growing need to identify emerging threats and risks that may undermine the stability of the social and spiritual environment at an early stage.
• Strengthening Analytical Capacity: The increasing demand for scientifically based monitoring and analysis of socio-religious processes, as well as research on the risks of religious extremism and radicalization.
• Enhancing Preventive Mechanisms: The need to prepare qualified specialists capable of strengthening media-based countermeasures against radical ideologies and promoting a healthy socio-religious consciousness within society.

Program Objectives

The program aims to prepare highly qualified specialists who are able to:

• Monitor and analyze socio-religious processes, identify the risks of religious extremism and radicalization, and develop effective preventive strategies and intervention measures.
• Provide expert consultation to national and local government authorities on religious affairs and conduct evidence-based research on socio-religious developments.
• Evaluate and provide expert assessment of religious materials, including publications, websites, and social media content, while utilizing mass media to foster a healthy socio-religious awareness.
• Conduct media activities aimed at countering radical ideologies on social media platforms and pursue professional careers in law enforcement agencies, non-governmental and non-profit organizations (NGOs/NPOs), and research centers dedicated to the study of historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage.
