Philology and Language Teaching: German Language

Through this academic program, you will acquire comprehensive knowledge and professional competencies in the field of Philology and Language Teaching (English Language). This field occupies an important place in the modern education system and is aimed at preparing highly qualified specialists with advanced foreign language proficiency and strong pedagogical skills. In the era of globalization, English is recognized as one of the most essential and widely demanded languages worldwide.

During the four-year period of study, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the English language, including linguistics, literary studies, translation theory, and contemporary language teaching methodologies. In addition, through pedagogical practice, you will have the opportunity to apply and strengthen your knowledge in real educational settings, thereby developing the professional skills required for a successful teaching career.

The program is structured over 8 semesters (4 years), during which students are required to complete a total of 240 credits, including:

• Total classroom instruction: 1,994 hours
• Professional and pedagogical internship/practicum: 900 hours
• Final qualification thesis (Bachelor’s graduation project): 420 hours

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will possess the linguistic, pedagogical, and professional competencies necessary to pursue careers in education, translation, research, and other language-related fields.
