Philology and Language Teaching: German Language

In 1969, the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​was opened at the Termiz State Pedagogical Institute, where English and German language departments began to operate. The potential of the English language department has been expanding since these years, and specialist personnel have started to be trained.

According to the order of the Rector of Termiz State University, on September 4, 1998, the Department of English was divided into "Department of English Philology" and "Interfaculty English". Both departments were joined on February 8, 2011, and from August 31, 2011, they began to operate as separate departments.

According to the order of the Rector of Termiz State University, the Faculty of Philology has been divided into two since August 27, 2015 and has been operating as the "Department of English Language and Literature".

The "English language and literature" department as a specialized department prepares bachelors in the fields of 6030100 - Philology and language teaching (English), 6030200 - Theory and practice of translation: English language education.
