The 60110800 — Mother Tongue and Literature (Russian Language and Literature) program is an educational field that includes a set of subjects, tools, approaches, and methods of pedagogical activity used in the process of training teachers of Russian language and literature for general secondary schools, academic lyceums, and vocational colleges.

The objects of professional activity include general secondary schools, academic lyceums, vocational colleges and extracurricular educational institutions, students, the educational and upbringing process, pedagogical technologies and teaching methods, Russian language and literature, as well as Arabic script.

A bachelor’s graduate of the Mother Tongue and Literature (by languages) program, in accordance with their psychological, pedagogical, and professional training, may carry out the following types of professional activities:

• teaching;
• educational and upbringing work;
• educational and methodological work;
• scientific research.

The specific types of professional activity for which the bachelor is trained are determined by the higher education system in cooperation with interested participants of the educational process.

A bachelor’s graduate of the Mother Tongue and Literature (by languages) program may engage in the following professional activities:

Teaching: working as a teacher of Russian language and literature in academic lyceums, vocational colleges, and general education schools.

Educational and upbringing work: working in extracurricular institutions.

Educational and methodological work: working as a methodologist in ministries, their sectoral departments, and institutions that provide education in these fields.

Scientific research: conducting research related to the study of educational processes.

Graduates of the Mother Tongue and Literature (by languages) program may continue their studies in bachelor’s specializations within the periods established by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
