About the programme
Native Language and Literature (by Language)
This Master's program is intended for students with an interest in studying language and literature in depth and on a scholarly basis. The program is aimed at developing both theoretical knowledge and practical research skills in the fields of linguistics, literary studies, and text analysis.
Throughout the program, students gain an in-depth understanding of the structure and historical development of language, contemporary linguistic theories, methods of analyzing literary works, and issues of comparative studies and translation. In addition, students develop the skills needed to conduct independent scholarly research and to prepare academic articles and a Master's thesis.
The program typically lasts two years and comprises theoretical coursework, academic seminars, and the defense of a thesis.
Graduates may pursue careers as teachers in higher and secondary education institutions, as researchers in scientific research institutes, as editors in publishing houses and the media, as well as translators or language specialists.
