About the programme
This master's program is designed for the advanced study of the theoretical foundations of the Korean language, contemporary approaches to linguistics, and modern research methodology. Students conduct in-depth research in Korean phonetics, grammar, semantics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis. Throughout the program, they develop practical skills in academic writing, planning linguistic research, preparing scholarly publications, and participating in international conferences. The curriculum also covers modern approaches to academic teaching and language technologies, equipping graduates with the knowledge and competencies required for successful careers in research and higher education. Graduates are well prepared for employment at universities, research institutions, international organizations, and companies cooperating with the Republic of Korea.
