Library information activities

This master's program aims to train professionals capable of conducting scientific research in the library and information environment, organizing library services using modern information and communication technologies, performing bibliographic and information analysis, and engaging in academic teaching and research.
The program provides in-depth knowledge in librarianship, information management, research methodology, digital library services, and pedagogical innovations.

Graduates may work as teacher-researchers and highly qualified librarians in higher education institutions, scientific libraries, information centers, and research institutes.

Program duration: 4 semesters (2 years), you must earn 120 credits
Total classroom hours: 1800
Scientific internship: 300 hours

Structure of the academic process:

• Theoretical training and research activity — 45 weeks (semesters 1–3)

• Scientific internship — 5 weeks (semester 4)

• Research and thesis writing — 13 weeks (semesters 1–4)

• Attestations — 16 weeks (semesters 2, 4)

• Introduction to the credit system — 3 weeks

• Vacations — 18 weeks (semesters 1–4)

• Total: 100 weeks

Notes:

1. 1 credit = 30 academic hours

2. For course projects, 1 credit is granted per 30 hours of independent study

3. Final state certification includes thesis preparation and defense

4. Scientific practice is conducted in HEIs, research institutes, and partner organizations
