About the programme
The Second Faculty of General Medicine of Urgench State Medical Institute was established on December 1, 2025, in accordance with Resolution No. 621 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 3, 2025, and Order No. 324 of the Ministry of Health dated October 20, 2025.
Since December 1, 2025, Sharifa Mirhamidovna Fazilova, PhD in Medical Sciences and Associate Professor, has been serving as the Dean of the Second Faculty of General Medicine.
Since December 25, 2025, Imron Buvaxaddiniy Setrizayev has served as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, while Jahongir Uktamboyevich Yuldoshev has served as Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs.
The faculty also includes one administrative officer and ten tutors. It comprises three departments:
- Department of English Language;
- Department of Pathomorphology;
- Department of Social Sciences.
The Second Faculty of General Medicine currently has a total of 1,438 students, including 489 male students and 949 female students. There are 24 students with disabilities and 13 orphaned students.
A total of 113 students reside in the student dormitory. Additionally, 522 students live in rented accommodation across 328 residences. Forty-five students commute from relatives’ homes, while 430 students commute from their own homes.
