The Bachelor's Programme in Plant Quarantine and Protection (60811000) belongs to the field of Agriculture and trains highly qualified specialists in protecting agricultural crops from pests, diseases, and weeds, and in organizing plant quarantine.
Students develop competencies in modern methods of plant protection and quarantine, the diagnosis and monitoring of pests and diseases, integrated pest-management approaches, and the safe and rational use of plant-protection means. The curriculum covers entomology, phytopathology, agricultural toxicology, quarantine regulations, and the application of environmentally sound, resource-efficient protection technologies, together with the rational use of technical means in professional activity.
Throughout the programme, students gain practical, applied experience alongside their theoretical training. Graduates are prepared to work in plant-protection and quarantine services, farms and agro-clusters of various forms of ownership, the institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture, scientific-research institutes, and state and local agricultural management bodies, as well as to pursue further study and scientific-pedagogical activity in the field.
