Crop Production

The Master's Programme in Plant Science / Crop Science (70810402) belongs to the field of Agriculture and trains highly qualified specialists in raising the yield and quality of field and fodder crops and in conducting scientific research in plant production.

The programme is oriented toward the rational use of land, water, energy, and material-technical resources, the preservation and improvement of soil fertility, and the optimization of production processes in the crop-production sector. Students develop advanced competencies in modern, resource-efficient cultivation technologies for field and fodder crops, the optimization of production processes, the introduction of scientific and technological achievements into production, and the conduct of applied scientific research in plant science.

Throughout the programme, students strengthen their research, analytical, and managerial skills and engage in scientific and innovative activity. Graduates are prepared to work in farms and agricultural enterprises of various forms of ownership, agro-clusters, scientific-research institutes, centres and scientific-production associations of the Academy of Sciences and the sector, and state and local management bodies, as well as to pursue scientific-pedagogical activity in higher, secondary specialized, and vocational education institutions.
