Computational Linguistics

Computational Linguistics is a modern and promising programme at the intersection of linguistics, information technologies and artificial intelligence. It is designed for students who want to work with digital language data processing, natural language technologies, electronic dictionaries, language corpora and intelligent linguistic systems.

Students study computational linguistics, fundamentals of programming, linguistics, automatic text analysis, machine translation, speech recognition and synthesis, corpus linguistics, digital dictionaries, databases and modern AI technologies. The learning process combines academic knowledge, practical training, project work and professional practice.

Graduates can work as computational linguists, NLP specialists, language technology specialists, data analysts, developers of electronic dictionaries and language corpora, and professionals in IT, education, media and research. For international students, the annual tuition fee starts from UZS 12,990,000 and may reach up to UZS 18,990,000 in accordance with the established procedure.
