70710201 – Biotechnology requires students to earn 30 credits per semester and 60 credits per academic year.The duration of the program is 2 years, and a student must accumulate 120 credits by its completion.One ECTS credit corresponds to 30 academic hours, and the total annual study load is 1800 academic hours, of which 40% are classroom hours and 60% are independent study hours.The number of credits that must be completed each semester includes both mandatory and elective courses listed in the course catalog.

70710201 – Biotechnology This undergraduate program maintains strong partnerships with the research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and various pharmaceutical enterprises, including “SHANAZ” LLC, “RADIKS” LLC, “ZUMA-PHARMA” LLC, “Dentafill”, the “Tashkent Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums” under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the F.N. Rusanov Tashkent Botanical Garden under the Academy of Sciences.During the course of scientific research, students gain knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the structure of medicinal plants at the cellular, tissue, and organ levels (vegetative and generative), their physiological functions, distribution areas, systematic classification, and differentiation principles. Additionally, they study secondary metabolites found in plants, their biosynthesis, classification, cultivation, harvesting, drying, processing (standardization and certification), and the formation of raw material bases for bioactive compounds using modern equipment. The program is designed to prepare graduates with professional competencies that align with these areas.
