UrSU Team Participates in International Summit on English and Inclusivity in Tashkent
At an international summit organized by the British Council, UrSU representatives presented the outcomes of their collaborative projects with the Universities of Lincoln and Ulster (UK).
From March 5 to 7, Tashkent hosted an international summit on English language and inclusive education, organized by the British Council in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. The event brought together 10 universities from the UK and 18 from Central Asia.
The UrSU delegation, led by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs S. Khodjaniyazov and Project Coordinator R. Abidova, showcased results from their ongoing partnerships. Urgench State University is a key partner in two major projects under the "English and Inclusivity Accelerator" program:

These initiatives focus on gender equality, special educational needs, and social and digital inclusion, impacting over 1,000 educators across the region. During the summit, participants attended an official reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Timothy Smart, and the Director of the British Council, Michael Houlgate. The event served as a vital platform for modernizing teacher training and expanding international cooperation in inclusive education.
