Members of the delegation headed by the Rector of the University of Geological Sciences M.U. Isakov take part in the 76th Geological Congress in Ankara, Republic of Turkey.

Rector of the University of Geological Sciences M.U. Members of the delegation led by Isokov participated in the 76th Geology Congress in Ankara, Republic of Turkey. Within the framework of this congress, ideas were exchanged with leading foreign organizations and companies regarding mineral exploration and exploration, mining and many other areas.

   

Also, the Director General of the Mineral Resources Exploration and Search Department (MTA) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, Vedat YANIK, participated in a roundtable discussion. During the roundtable, the rector of the University of Geosciences, M.U. Isokov, presented on the university's activities. In the presentation, he noted that based on the initiative of our state leader, practical classes have been introduced at the university. It was emphasized that students’ direct practical training at the four research institutes under the university will create a solid foundation for them to become highly qualified specialists in the field of geology in the future.

   

On that day, the rector of the University of Geosciences, M.U. Isokov, reached agreements on various areas of mutual interest with the rector of Ankara University, Professor Necdet Ünüvar, based on the memorandum of understanding signed on May 25, 2022, regarding the collaboration in the field of geology for training and further education of specialists, organizing student internships, implementing joint research projects, and establishing various directions beneficial for both universities.

   

During the meeting, the rector of Ankara University, Professor Necdet Ünüvar, emphasized that the attention given to youth in Uzbekistan in recent years and the wide opportunities being created for their education contribute to enhancing Uzbekistan's reputation on the world stage. He expressed hope that the cooperation within the framework of the signed memorandum of understanding between our universities would last for many years and achieve significant results in the field of geology. Additionally, Professor Necdet Ünüvar proposed the establishment of a branch of the Turkish and Foreign Language Application and Research Center (TÖMER) at the campus of the University of Geosciences.

   

With this, the parties exchanged good wishes, and the representatives of the two higher education institutions congratulated each other and took a photo for the memory.
