Our goal:

Training of personnel engaged in increasing the rate of oil extraction and extraction of residual reserves by applying new technologies of acceleration and increasing the component yield of layers in the hydrocarbon fields used in Uzbekistan.

About the department:

In connection with the opening of the Faculty of Oil and Gas in the academic year 2021-2022, the chair "Oil and Gas Field Operation and Use" was newly established.

If we look at the history, the department of "Oil and gas fields operation and their use" began its activity in Tashkent Polytechnic Institute in 1963 under the name of "Complex technology and mechanization of oil and gas fields operation", and in 1963-1978 the department was headed by professor S.N. Nazarov led. S.N. Nazarov, as a great representative of science, made a great contribution to the formation of the work and traditions of the department.

In 1978-1983, Assoc. V. N. Charushnikov; Assoc. in 1983-2005. B. Sh. Akramov; Assoc. in 2005-2009. M.U. Shousmanov; Assoc. in 2009-2011. N.N. Makhmudov; Assoc. in 2011-2012. B. Sh. Akramov; Assoc. in 2012-2014. M.A. Tursunov; Assoc. in 2014-2016. A.A. Zakirov, associate professor at the newly established "Oil and Gas Fields Operation and Use" department from the 2021-2022 academic year. A.Kh. Karshiyev has been the director.

A.Kh. Agzamov, U.S. Nazarov, D.V. Lyugai, N.N. Makhmudov, A.A. Zakirov, A.U. Nazarov, F.Sh. Sobirov, N.Kh. Ermatov defended their doctor's theses and more than 20 candidates' theses at the department.

U.S. Nazarov, K.Q.Ernazarov, T.O.Omonov, H. Turdiev, K.Kurbanov, A.S. Mustafaev, Sh.J.Shamsiev, R.Tangriev, R.Ch.Sherovlar and others from the graduates of the department, "Uzbekneftgaz" JSC and oil and are working in management positions in large production enterprises of the gas industry.

Graduates of the department have worked in various positions in the field at JSC "Uzbekneftegaz", JSC "Uztransgaz", JSC "Uzbekgeofizika", JSC "UzLITIneftgaz", JSC "Shortanneftgaz", JSC "Muborakneftgaz". they serve to solve issues such as the use of oil and gas fields, the calculation of reserves in the fields.

Also, specialists who graduated from the department work in oil and gas companies in a number of countries (China, Germany, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Algeria, Cuba, Afghanistan, etc.) those who

Currently, they are successfully working in the companies "Lukoil", "Gazprom" (Russia), "CNPC" (China), "CNOC" South Korea), "PETRONAS" (Malaysia), "ERIELL" (Czech Republic).

After the years of independence, professors and teachers of the department published more than 15 monographs, more than 40 textbooks, training manuals, more than 100 teaching methods, and more than 1000 articles. Received more than 30 copyright certificates and patents.
