For the current academic year, the volume of teaching of the department is 14,751 hours. The scientific potential of the Department of Informatics and Teaching Methods is 8.3%. Currently, all professors and teachers of the department are engaged in scientific and research work.

The department has established educational clubs “Computer Literacy” and “Programming Languages”. The department has concluded cooperation agreements on student internships with secondary schools in Termez within the framework of the “4+2” program.

History of the department. The department was created in September 2021 under the name of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology on the basis of the Department of Methods of Teaching Mathematics and Computer Science at the Pedagogical Institute of Termiz State University. In September 2022, the department was renamed to the department of “Informatics and its teaching methods” of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Termez State Pedagogical Institute.
