Program Description:

Within this field of study, you will gain essential theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as music art, music theory, instrumental performance, traditional singing, vocal performance, music teaching methodology, music teaching technologies, and project-based activities. You will acquire skills in playing musical instruments, presenting projects visually, preparing technical drawings, and working with digital graphic software.

The Music Education field is aimed at providing preschool children, general secondary school students, and specialized art school students with theoretical knowledge related to music art, as well as developing their practical skills through national and contemporary music listening, learning instrumental performance, and enhancing their artistic-aesthetic thinking and abilities.

Over the course of 3 years, you will thoroughly master the following knowledge, skills, and competencies:

• Basic music theory
• Instrumental performance (by types)
• Traditional singing and vocal performance skills
• Methodology of teaching music in preschool education
• Harmony and musical work analysis
• Solfeggio
• Methodology of teaching music subjects, school repertoire
• Basics of rhythmics and choreography
• Orchestral class and performance in an orchestra
• Performance in an instrumental ensemble and leadership of it
• Development of harmonic solfeggio and aural skills, working in vocal parts
• Study of samples from Uzbek folk music heritage
• Music teaching technologies and project design
• History of music
• Choir and choral studies, working with choir groups and conducting them
• Working with folklore ensembles

In this educational program, you are required to earn a total of 180 credits over 6 semesters (3 years), including:

• Total classroom hours: 4620 hours
• Internship: 780 hours
• Final qualifying paper: 150 hours

       Additional Comments:

• 1 Credit is 30 academic hours.
• To ensure theoretical and practical integrity, qualification internships are held in organizations and enterprises.
• 4 days of theoretical and 2 days of practical training. They will receive theoretical training for 4 days at the Namangan State Pedagogical Institute and 2 days of practical training in educational organizations.
• Student knowledge assessment is carried out on the basis of the Regulations developed in accordance with the credit system.
