Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Yingming Yang visited Karakalpakstan!
Today, on September 14, 2025, the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for South, Central, and West Asia, Mr. Yingming Yang, together with ADB representatives – Director General of the Central and West Asia Department Ms. Leah Gutierrez, Senior Sector Director for Human and Social Development Ms. Ayako Inagaki, and Country Director of the ADB Uzbekistan Resident Mission Ms. Kanokpan Lao-Araya – paid an official visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
- As part of the visit, the delegation participated in a conference held at the experimental field of the Scientific and Production Association for Wheat and Rice located in Nukus district. The event provided detailed information on the activities and achievements of the Association.
- Furthermore, a cordial dialogue was held with farmers and scientists contributing to the development of agriculture. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, implementing new projects, and introducing innovative approaches in the agricultural sector.
- The visit of ADB representatives to Karakalpakstan is significant for enhancing international cooperation and supporting ongoing reforms aimed at the sustainable development of the agricultural sector in Uzbekistan.
