The Rector Met with Students — Winners of the World Cup
As you are aware, our students recently took part in the Belt Wrestling World Cup held in Novocheboksarsk, Chuvash Republic, Russian Federation, and achieved remarkable success by winning gold and bronze medals. In this prestigious competition, held from October 8 to 11, about 300 athletes from 15 countries participated. Ozodbek Salimov (57 kg) from the Faculty of Art and Sports of Kokand State University won the gold medal in the freestyle category, while Abdulazizkhon Mukhammedov (62 kg) earned the bronze medal in the classic category.
Today, the Rector of Kokand State University, Dilnoza Khodjayeva, met with the students who became winners of the World Cup and congratulated them on their victory. The rector emphasized that the students’ success in the international competition is a source of pride and honor for the entire university community.
— Your victory is a vivid reflection of hard work, determination, perseverance, and patriotism. You have demonstrated to the world the potential not only of our university but also of all the youth of Uzbekistan. Such achievements fill us with pride and inspire us to reach new heights, — said Dilnoza Khodjayeva.
During the meeting, the athletes were presented with honorary certificates and memorable gifts. The event concluded with a warm conversation and a commemorative photo session.
