The international conference “Psychology of the 21st century: problems, achievements, innovations” was held at Samarkand State University.

  About 30 honourable scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan took part in the conference held jointly with the International Academy of Psychological Sciences.

     This conference was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the International Academy of Psychological Sciences. The main purpose of the conference was to develop international relations, joint psychological research, publication of articles in highly indexed journals.

    Rector of Samarkand State University, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov opened the event with an introductory speech:

     - Psychologists have been trained at Samarkand State University for 20 years. Graduates of this course work as psychologists in various spheres - education, health care, internal affairs, culture, mass media, sports and other spheres. Within the framework of this Congress, Samarkand State University plans to sign new memoranda of co-operation with Russian scientists. In addition to our achievements and the traditional format of sharing experience in various fields of psychology, the conference will discuss the methodology of psychology development in Uzbekistan, methodological approaches, study of creative heritage of famous scientists, as well as topical issues of modern psychology. 

    President of the International Academy of Psychological Sciences Vladimir Kozlov, Professor of Yaroslavl State University Mergalis Kashapov, well-known Kazakh psychologists Rumiya Galimova, Natalia Bizyaeva, Director of the Institute of Education and Practical Psychology of Chelyabinsk State University Irina Trushina, Academician Gairat Shumarov, Professors Sharif Baratov and Manzura Usmanova delivered their reports.

     As part of the conference, Vladimir Kozlov presented Rector of Samarkand State University Rustam Khalmuradov with a diploma of Honorary Academician of the International Academy of Psychological Sciences.
