Leaders of Leading Polish Higher Education Institutions Visit Bukhara
Within the framework of the “Congress on Medicine and Technologies”, held with the participation of Central Asian countries and European Union member states, a delegation consisting of leaders of leading higher education institutions of the Republic of Poland visited the city of Bukhara.
The guests were officially welcomed at the Bukhara railway station by the Rector of Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, Shuhrat Teshayev, and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Laziz Niyozov.
The delegation included the Rector of the University of Warmia and Mazury, Jerzy Andrzej Przyborowski; the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Krzysztof Jóźwik; the Rector of the Medical University of Bialystok, Marcin Moniuszko; the Rector of the Medical University of Lodz, Lucyna Alicja Woźniak; the Rector of Pomeranian University, Zbigniew Osadowski; the Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk, Michał Jan Markuszewski; as well as the Rector of the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna.
During the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with the historical and cultural landmarks of the city of Bukhara. They also visited Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, where they became closely acquainted with the activities of the institution’s museum, Information Resource Center, and the traditional medicine laboratory, giving them high praise.
In addition, the delegation members explored the institute’s modern clinic and educational processes, highly appreciating the quality of education and the level of practical training.
During the meeting, issues of further developing international cooperation in medical education and scientific research, exchanging experience, and implementing joint projects were discussed.
