Kokand State University students at the Center of Islamic Civilization
In our country, enhancing the intellectual potential of the younger generation, educating them in the spirit of national and universal values, and strengthening their respect for our rich historical heritage remain among the priority directions of state policy. In this regard, during the current week, at the initiative of the leadership of Kokand State University, an educational visit to the magnificent Center of Islamic Civilization in our capital city, Tashkent, was organized for a group of students. This visit served to connect the theoretical knowledge gained by students during their studies with practical experience and allowed them to directly appreciate the immense contribution of our great ancestors to world civilization.
During the visit, students became closely acquainted with the center’s architectural design, unique eastern-style tile artistry, and extensive museum exhibitions. In particular, the copy of the world-famous Uthman Mushaf preserved in the central hall of the center, as well as rare manuscripts of our great scholars and thinkers — Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Abu Rayhan Beruni, and Ibn Sina — inspired immense pride and admiration among the students. The center’s rich library collection and information-resource department equipped with modern technologies served as a true treasure of knowledge for the students. The detailed explanations provided by specialists further enriched the students’ understanding of the development of Islamic culture and science.
This spiritual and educational event not only broadened the students’ worldview but also strengthened feelings of patriotism and national identity in their hearts. There is no doubt that such events serve as an important stage in preparing highly qualified and spiritually mature professionals who will contribute to the prosperity of our country in the future. Indeed, only young people who value their history and ancestral heritage are capable of building a great future.
