Khumorabonu Mamajonova won a gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games
From November 7 to 21, the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia is hosting the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games. In this prestigious multi-sport event, the boxing competitions concluded earlier than the other sports.
Khumorabonu Mamajonova, a student of the Faculty of Art and Sports of Kokand State University who took part as a member of the Uzbekistan national team, competed in the −57 kg weight category and defeated all her opponents, becoming the champion of the tournament.
In the final bout, our representative faced Azerbaijani athlete Aynur Mikayilova and secured a decisive 5:0 victory, earning another gold medal for the Uzbekistan delegation.
Khumorabonu Mamajonova’s achievement was recognized not only as a success of the national team but also as a significant accomplishment of the university’s athletes on the international stage.
